But Ziyech himself put an end to that worry, insisting he will still leave Ajax and join the Premier League giants on July 1.
“I really haven’t been serious about that for a second,” Ziyech said when asked about the prospect of having to stay.
“I think my signature is under the contract and so yes, on July 1, I will be a Chelsea player. I never had any other thought.”
