Adele is celebrating her 32nd birthday today.
And in the last year the Brit School alumni has wowed fans with her glow-up that saw her unveiling an enviable transformation as she lost seven stone by shaking up her health and fitness regime.
The Skyfall hitmaker decided to transform her physique following the end of her 8-year-long marriage to Simon Konecki last year.
She separated from Simon – who she shares seven-year-old son Angelow with – after getting together in 2011 and they then tied the knot in 2017.
Following the end of her marriage the superstar was focused on being healthier for her son, reports claim.
A source told PEOPLE : “She got to the point where she didn’t feel great. She knew she had to change something, because she wants to be the healthiest mom possible.
“Her whole focus during the weight loss journey has really how been all about how she can be healthier and how can she treat her body better.
“It was never about losing weight. Her weight loss happened because she has cut down drinking and is eating more real food. But she now loves her physical transformation too. She is more confident, dresses differently and she just seems happier overall.”
Adele’s new addiction to being healthy also led to her having a confident boost and she feels sexier in herself.
A source told Hollywood life: “Adele feels sexier than ever and she’s so happy to be going into the new year looking and feeling great.”
Another source told the media outlet that the past 12 months have been a tough time, saying: “2019 was a very hard year for Adele but it was also one of a lot of personal growth.”
She is reportedly “very proud of herself,” and is “going into the next decade feeling like a million bucks.”
The source continued: “As tough as it was to say goodbye to her marriage being on her own has brought out so much strength in her, she feels like she’s found herself again and she wouldn’t trade that for anything.”
Adele surprised many when unveiled the results when rocked up to Drake’s birthday bash in October.
Turning heads in a low-cut form-fitting gown the London native oozed confidence as she showcased her toned frame.
She has also spotted flaunting her trimmer frame when she holidayed in the Carribean with Harry Styles and James Cordon earlier this year.
Adele is believed to have lost weight due to The Sirtfood Diet, which sees slimmers fill up on plant-based foods like kale, buckwheat, green tea and tumeric.
The foods are known as sirtuin activators, and are said to control the way the body processes fat and sugar and regulate the appetite in the process.
Then this year she began hitting the gym more often, with a source telling PEOPLE: “After Adele started working out, she never looked back.”
They added: “She was instantly a changed person with a different mindset.”
Adele reportedly has regular personal trainer sessions and pilate classes, as well as enjoying a Stairmaster-like class called Rise Nation.
